Our mission is to safeguard access to supplies, food, and enrichment activities for each and every student who attends Battle Ground Public Schools.

At the Battle Ground Education Foundation, we believe that each and every student who attends Battle Ground Public Schools deserves the support to reach their full potential and thrive in school and beyond. Thanks to the efforts of countless volunteers and the faithful support of our community, The Foundation is able to provide supplies and access to a variety of programs for the students of BGPS.

Battle Ground Education Foundation Programs

Family and Community Resource Center

Through our partnership with the Family Community Resource Center, we are able to provide our most vulnerable students with the food, shelter, medical, and mental health services they need to be successful.

SRO Snack Pantry

BGEF supports the critical work that our School Resource Officers do by keeping their food pantries stocked. The officer’s ability to offer a snack is often the first way they can lower barriers and start to make the lasting relationships that result in all students feeling safe, secure, and supported while they are at school.

Stuff the Bus school supply program

Hosted by Walmart and Fred Meyer in Battle Ground, and supported by First Student Transportation, this school and household supply drive enables all students to have the supplies they need to be sunfissful at the start of every school year.

Books and Bites

To support literacy and spark a lifelong love of reading, BEF partners with Read NW and IQ Credit Union to supply every first grader with a new book during the March Bites and Books event

Principal Grant

Each year, the Foundation provides each of the 19 building principals with a discretionary fund to support the immediate needs of the students in their schools. Some of the ways these funds have been utilized include: starting a school garden and providing sensory tools to help students develop strategies to self regulate.

Student activity and AP test fees

Each year, the Foundation provides funding to cover student activity and AP test fees so that any student who wants to play a sport. participate in a club, or take an AP test to earn college credits is able to do so.

Scholarships

BGEF supports students beyond graduation with two $5,000 scholarships awarded each spring.
